Word of Mouth Wednesday – Season 2

𝑾𝒐𝒓𝒅-𝒐𝒇-𝒎𝒐𝒖𝒕𝒉, 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧 2 - 𝐖𝐞𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲 1

Breaks are necessary. They help you take a pause, analyse, make iterations in the plan (if needed) and strike better.

So after discussing about 21 budding entrepreneurs last year in 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧 1 𝐨𝐟 𝐦𝐲 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐖𝐞𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲’𝐬, I took a break last year to evaluate the initiative and make it better.

Here I am !!

I begin the 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧 2 𝐨𝐟 𝑾𝒐𝒓𝒅-𝒐𝒇-𝒎𝒐𝒖𝒕𝒉 𝐖𝐞𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲’𝐬 with a young, creative and ‘perfectionist’ entrepreneur Shraddha Lath.

Shraddha Lath is the founder of Seekskincare & Wellness, an affordable luxury brand devoted towards skin minimalism, and probably that’s what connected us the most (𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒎𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒔𝒎).

I met her a couple of weeks ago and was inspired by the steps which she has taken alone as a founder in order to build Seekskincare & Wellness. All those people who have worked as solo founders, would understand how difficult it is to focus on multiple areas at the same time (especially when you are a product company). Respect all of you and admire your never say die attitude.

Interestingly, Shraddha Lath introduced me to something which I have been ignorant my whole life – how our skin (just like other areas of our life) – can be taken care in a minimalistic way. I am not sure how ardent a follower I would be, but must say, I have started taking the baby steps.

To all those people who love to take care of their skin in a minimalistic way, do visit www.seekskincare.com or meet Shraddha Lath.

To Shraddha Lath – Your journey has just started and I wish you all the best. Keep the fire alive. Long way to go.

And to recall what 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐦𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐖𝐞𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲 is all about, here you go: https://lnkd.in/gedrBQ6p

So last week I restarted the 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐖𝐞𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲’𝐬, and I am feeling good about it already. Hope you too are supporting the entrepreneurs we are talking about.

Today, I would like to talk about a very close friend of mine Mohit Kumar Pachisiya, who has recently ventured into the business of financial services with the name Appex Lending Services. Professionally Mohit Kumar Pachisiya is a hashtagChartedAccountant and has a 5+ years of work experience with renowned companies such as ICICI Bank & PwC. But finally he has decided to take the leap of faith in the field of loan syndication.

We both have been in touch for quite a while but I am always amazed to see the way Mohit Kumar Pachisiya is grooming himself for tomorrow. The consistency and seriousness with which he does what he gets into, is commendable.

While the business which he has entered is nothing new, but I always believe in any business what you do is secondary but who does is primary. I am sure he shall give his best to the business and leave no stone unturned in order to make it successful.

Mohit Kumar Pachisiya As always, wish you the best brother and look forward to learn from your business experiences.

Keep learning. Keep growing.

Learning is necessary. Growth is necessary. Change is necessary.

This is what I could recall when I talked to Isha Poddar Agarwal around a month back. Having started her journey as a graphic designer, Isha Poddar Agarwal has a major in Bachelorette in Multimedia from St. Xaviers (Kolkata).

What I appreciate in her is how from graphic designing, she upscaled herself to social media marketing and then to digital marketing with the firm name Colours and Patterns (https://lnkd.in/gHUX4FUv).

Operating from north east India, with a team of 10-15 members, she caters to digital marketing needs of corporations in Guwahati primarily.

I am working with her on our first collaboration project and I apprciate her knack for designing.

Isha Poddar Agarwal While it is just a short period we have been working, yet I am always looking forward to learn and get inspired by entrepreneurs like you.

You have a good team, keep learning. Keep growing. Keep sharing.

Wish you all the best.

“काम ही मेरी पूजा है, पूजा ही मेरा काम”

That’s how I would like to define the entrepreneur I am going to talk about today i.e Vicky Gill.

An ordinary person whom you may not notice in a meet or even two and neither is he doing anything groundbreaking, yet – I get inspired whenever I go to his work place i.e 𝐑𝐆 𝐇𝐚𝐢𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐧 (insta handle: official.rghairstudio).

I shall share with you the why but first let me introduce him. Vicky Gill is the owner of a 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐱 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐧 – 𝐑𝐆 𝐇𝐚𝐢𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐁𝐞𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐚. He holds a diploma in hairdressing and has worked as a hairstylist or technical educator with brands like A N John, Eye Catchers, Toni and Guy, Loreal, Wella Professionals etc.

Now the reason I am talking about him is because I have seen this person’s journey from scratch and he inspires me. He is an employee turned employer in the same field. And as any other businessman, he has gone through the good number of cycles in last 10 years YET his never-say-die attitude and single-point focus on work (hairstyling) inspire me every time I meet him.

He carries hard work as his sword and keeps an eye on detail for every customer who enters his place once. His dedication to the profession is commendable.

Believe as an entrepreneur, consistency is one of the key factor we all need to have. As they say – “और ऑप्शन क्या है” 🙂

Vicky Gill I respect you for your genuinely, clarity and the efforts you put in to make your business to make it successful.

Keep dreaming and keep growing. Wish you all the best.

“छोटे-छोटे शहरों से, खाली बोर दुपहरों में हम तो झोला उठा के चले…” this was the song I could recall when I got to know more about Paras Khemka – person I would like to speak about this wednesday.

A young bright fellow with loads of ideas in his mind and dreams unlimited.

I was fortunate enough to meet Paras Khemka on our recent Trek with @TrekTheHimalayas (TTH). Coincidentally it was just 3 of us so we got ample amount of time to know each other over a period of 6 days. And how could we not be discussing business or entrepreneurship.

Paras Khemka is the founder of Mischief Manifest, a company which deals into digital marketing (primarily into social media marketing and influencer management). He has recently started this venture and I am sure he shall have many more. A listener, observer and deep thinker, he is going to take your words and requirements very seriously and shall make sure it is sorted, even it is through the 𝐣𝐮𝐠𝐠𝐚𝐝 mentality.

He has a team of ~10 people and have done couple of good event management projects (promoting events in the city) and I am sure has a hand on influencer management.

But the best part of him is not his skillset but his capability to smile and have fun even in the worst case scenarios. I believe, to a certain extent, he has already mastered the art of entrepreneurship 🙂

Paras Khemka I wish you the best and look forward to your growth and growing together with you.

Keep dreaming and keep growing. Wish you all the best.

Accountant by mind, Artist by heart; that’s who SHEWTI JAIN is.

I met her in our Designation Woman 2024 event (https://lnkd.in/gyhdFde4) and was amazed by the change of trajectory she has build in her life. She is the only CA in my knowledge who has become an artist by profession (I am sure, there must be more but not in my limited network).

What started as an hobby during COVID-19, drawing and painting, took turns and became a profession for her. It was a comforting escape for her, a way to express herself and make sense of the uncertainty 🖌️. However, encouragement from her husband, support from the family and professional training from her incredible Prasenjit Sengupta Sir, led her to an artist by profession.

SHEWTI JAIN have had the privilege of creating custom pieces for homes, cafes, offices and even public spaces ✅. Seeing the world through colors and sharing it brings an immense sense of purpose 💕

She runs her own studio at Beliaghata, Kolkata and her work can be viewed at https://bit.ly/3x9Z1Hb. She also organises Doodle Workshops for kids and corporates (a perect way to let go off the stress).

SHEWTI JAIN, one of the best part of your work is the pleasure which you find in it and which is apparantly visible in your smile when you talk about it. I wish Art and Decor, the best and look forward to attend one of your seminar’s.
