If you feel you should do it & if you are pretty confident you can contribute: Go ahead, and do it. No matter how minuscule it be.
When I thought to organise a seminar by self for the outside world (beyond my team members), there were many doubts and questions in mind. What if there is no participation, what if people are not satisfied, what if things don’t go as per plan etc etc. But in front of 10 such fearful questions, there was one strong gut feeling: I know I can contribute. And if I can, it is my responsibility to do so.
And I did.
Thank you to each of the participant and my team BeyondAvg & Get You At for encouraging me to go for it and organising it.

Having talked about it once before, I thought let me continue the seminar journey which got paused due to COVID 19. I initiated the same seminar again in 2021 with new colleagues and batchmates.
I was much more confident as a speaker this time.
The purpose was simple: “DO NOT FEAR STOCK MARKET. Listen, Talk and Understand it. Next time when there is a discussion on it, even if you do not participate, don’t take a step back. Stand, listen carefully. Take or share your learning. Refine your learning. But don’t fear the jargons. At the end, keep it simple.”
An unbiased and unsponsored award ceremony, by Get You At and Beyond Average, at The Conclave, Elgin Road,Kolkata to award companies working with more than 50% women strength and making a mark in their respective domain.

This was the first time I stood as a speaker. After listening to Sam Cawthron in a seminar, I got so inspired that I decided, if I wanted to be a speaker, now was the time to be. So I initiated my first public inhouse seminar among my colleagues on one of the most important topic in life: Time Management.
Satisfactory it was and I hope, people benefitted out of it. 🙂
