On an average, 70% of the work most people do simply doesn’t need to be done.
Staring at screens, convincing ourselves that we’re being productive. Checking off tasks, reply to emails, attend meetings that lead nowhere. And at the end of the day, we’re drained. Not from working hard, rather because we never stopped working long enough to think.
We’ve glorified being busy. We measure our worth in how long we sit, how full our calendars look. But deep down, most of us are afraid of being seen as unproductive. Afraid that the world will move on without us. And so, the chase of busyness like a badge of honour.
