You blink and suddenly half the year is behind you. The goals you wrote in January, the things you promised yourself before the year began, the version of this year you had imagined. You find yourself doing the mental math without meaning to. How much happened. How much did not. How much time is actually left.

This mid-year mark becomes a reminder that somewhere between the meetings and the hundred small things that kept demanding your attention, the months just went. And you were busy being busy.
